La Luna El Mariachi

It was so wonderful when I got the new album and when I was listening to the song La Luna so wonderfully arranged. I can´t explain what it did to me. So lovely composed the start with the drumming and the bongo style then the beautiful lyrics about the man who thinks back of a wonderful time and the spanish rhythm which takes us all back into a spanish area of a nice holiday a long stray into a beautiful poetic drama. Estrellas y la luna so nicely arranged with all the musicians and Suggs with his wonderful voice singing “raucous” this word he sings so lovely ….the trumpets going up and down so melancholy. “out come the twinkling stars” wow how much I love that line..”squeezing the last drops of fading light” so very poetically. Chrissy I love it so much please go on making so lovely music. The song about this man longing back to a different place maybe away from cold frosty winds and boring houses who just wants to stay in the warming sun with beautiful man and woman who care for him on the lovely hot beach……our memories all forelorn…i miss madness please do a long tour in europe next year with more material full of spanish moves and grooves..

Dear Jean
What can I say? Chas suggested putting a Mariachi band on some of the songs, as we were gong to Mexico. So we got one. The funny thing was they were “Mariachi el Bronx” from LA..
thanks, CB

I always wonder the same about Leon Jean.
I always think of Autism when I listen to it.
I love the way madness can make serious issues into such happy and amazing songs.
Leon is my 10 year old daughters favorite Madness song now.

    thanks Chrissy for answering
I also do love the song Leon.
I wonder if Leon really exists as a boy but there are surely a lot of “Leons” out there…
