Trumpet sheets and Morris vans
Hi, my name is CJ and I was wondering if you could please send me the trumpet sheets to most of your band's songs as well as what happened to the Morris Minor vans you guys used? PS nice guitar work and great stunts in the video for It Must Be Love! C.J.
Dear C.J. Trumpet sheet@£$%s?! Holy f..This is the best one this year and it's January 11th. You want ME to send YOU something that doesn't even exist..have a Guy. Learn the songs by ear develop you own style, that's what we used to do. Well, I did have a Roxy Music songbook I suppose. The vans ended up in India cut in half and turned into trailers, I think. The guitar got all bent after being underwater. We tried to dry it out with a hairdryer and take it back to the hire company but they weren't having it.So we bought it and it was in a lot of Stiff videos therafter... yours C[J]B

Hi Chris, happy new year to you all. I got the One Step Beyond re-issue which is bloody marvellous!
It looks like you are re-issuing all the other albums soon, including "the Madness" album, but not Mad not Mad? (according to the sleeve notes in the OSB re-issue) Is this right? Cos that was a classic album in my mind..

Dear Steve Mad not Mad was still owned by EMI/Virgin so they have the rights to it. However, they are re releasing it and it looks very good. CB

I mentioned a couple of years ago, you should play this gig, My god what a gig, it was an amazing night, the best band in the world at the best party in the world, a match made in heaven.

Hi Chris, Im the weirdo who drove all the way fron Cardiff to Edinburgh for New yrs eve to see you... I had enclosure tickets ( thank god as no one else could see anything from the gardens tee hee ). Was worth the trip tho as you were all amazing...how cold was it tho !!!Suggs was shit faced before you started which was so funny ! I have never heard him like that before. Did you all enjoy it or was it work on new yrs eve for you?, I was surprised yet pleased you actually brought the new yr in. I had the best New Yrs Eve ever as we made a road trip of it & did the Lakes on way up & York on way back ...I did look out for you next day to give you a lift to Brighton as promised !! Helen X

i came up to london from my country side home (little country mouse that i am)
went to the 02 to see you guys there and loved my time in London.
Am planning a return trip and whilst i am there i would like to venture to a ska club, do you know of any.
bear in mind i will most likely be on my todd, as all my mates are married with kids etc,,,,
anyway with a tube map i am sure i will be ok. any ideas of where to go... thanks netty

(o2 academy and hogmanay Edinburgh) At both gigs I was at the front right in front of you,I just missed out on the clock you threw into the crowd just before the bells! Chris...the lads have not stopped talking about the great gig in Belfast recently, infact, the dukebox in our local has been playing none stop Madness since the 29th December. Now we want more, so was wondering if you will be touring in 2010, and if so, will Belfast be back on the Nutty boys list of places to play. Think its fair to say that Madness 09 tour has revived the group again, and bring it on mate, the more the better....Have a great 2010 and send all our best wishes to all the lads from everyone in Northern Ireland..

hi my husband and his friend was at the madness concert in the oddessy on the 29/12/09 and they thought it was brill they were wondering if you can get a dvd from that night i phoned the oddessy but they said they never knew anything about it if you know anything about a dvd could you email me back

as I tried to re-digitize my (now over 20 year old) 12" versions of your singles over Xmas, trying to get rid of those dust crackles, I wonder if you guys can do it better from your master tapes... I desperatelly would love to get a 12" compilation of your singles; will that ever happen? take care and hope to see yo live again in Dortmund - thank you

I just wanted to firstly say thank you so much for a fantastic show in belfast on the 29th, I hope you enjoyed the show too. I am only 10 and became obseesed with the band in May 2009. On December 15th 2009 I went to see you play in manchester as part of the total madness tour and it was brill. Loads of my friends in Year 6 know and love your songs. So have a happy new year from me. Love, Cx
hi chris, the suit took some effort but was worth it. we couldnt work out all the headlines off your suits so used a couple of the main ones then made some up of our own. we then put it onto a disk and took it to a specialist material printers. we took the material to a bespoke tailors who ran up the suit. was worth the effort we think and was very worrying, only got the suit 36 hours before the wedding!. is there a trick to getting backstage passes to a gig or is it pot luck? would make my day to meet you guys but enough grovelling for now. thanks chris and best wishes for 2010 to all you guys. Happy 2010! Hope Edinburgh was fun! I was wondering if you played either side of midnight and if so, which songs did you do? They wouldn't be the same, but...
I saw in the new decade at my Sunday quiz pub where DJ Gordonzola was playing cheesy tunes till the dying minutes of 2009. Then... One Step Beyond! Followed by a bit more One Step Beyond because he'd timed it wrong. Then the countdown, party poppers, a few choruses of Auld Lang Syne - next, House of Fun! So my last and first tunes of the old and new decade were Madness even though I couldn't make it up to Edinburgh! My friend thought I had the DJ on remote. Actually he thought I'd put in a request while he was in the loo or wherever. I hadn't. It was just one of those lovely things. After Too Much, Too Young I came home because I've been poorly. (I was drinking water in a pub!! On NYE!!)
Anyway happy new year to you all!! Hope 2010 is as fun and prosperous as the last one. I've just had the best year! As I'm sure have many fans. Thank you!
