Dear Chris
I have recently introduced my son, Kyle, a 13 year old boundary testing nightmare, to the sound of Madness. He’s heard you on my stereo over the years but has just gone through all your songs on an ipod and I noticed he was asleep the other night listening to ‘my girl’. he’s a bit of a singer himself although with this voice breaking it’s quite painful at the moment! Anyway, my question is, would the dorset gig be appropriate for him to go to? He’s never been to a music gig and I’d really like to take him to one of yours but don’t know the Camp Bestival etiquette. Thanks for any info you can pass on, much appreciated by this out-of-touch mum. Only wish I could still fit in the drainpipe jeans, harrington and loafers I wore as a Madness rude girl in the 80’s. Love you all very much and your tunes always make me smile. Thanks again friend, big love to you and yours. Tanya x
Dear Tanya
Camp Bestival is really great fun, very family orientated. So he’ll probably hate it, the teenage oik. After a day or two he’ll love it, though.
go enjoy it CB
Agree with CB. I’m 14 and came across camp bestival last year while looking for madness gigs to go to. Me and my auntie go to a music festival every year and I asked her about it, after we looked at it it seems very family orientated and some great acts. I was 12 when I went to my first madness gig which was just the madness fan crowed and survived (just about) so I am sure that camp bestival is going to be great! hope to see ya there
