Hi Chris,
You must surely & already know that the Gogglebox will specially interest all the Madness fans. So I must say that as a big fan I’m a little bit disapointed by the Gogglebox… Why? Well, just because like pratically all the fans, I have already “Take It or Leave It” & “The Liberty Of Norton Folgate Film” in DVD format… We don’t need thousand copy of them… On the other hand, it would be more interesting for all fans to have, for exemple, a DVD release of “Madstock ’92” & “Dance Craze”… and what about a HD release of all the videos because the quality on the CD’s is really cheap even if Union Square has done a really good job on the re-edition…
So the result is I’m going to spend 50£ for the DVD of Madstock ’09…. Don’t you think it’s a little bit expensive?
I understand we’re not in a democracy way but in a busisness way, but I think sometimes you should ask all your fans, who spent money since 30 years to buy every Madness things, about their expectation…or not… It’s up to you and the way you see the things…

Dear Mister B
I have to say I see your point, I thought the same.
However: There are a lot of extras. After the Norton show we played the greatest hits, which is now included. “Take it Or Leave it” has been deleted for some time now, a lot of people have asked me where they can get it. Madstock 2009 is also the same I get a lot of enquiries. Madstock ‘ 92 we are saving for Union Square next year, I hope. “Dance Craze” is not our property at all, I don’t think it will ever be re released, a legal nightmare. The TV comedy pilot is unseen until now, Chas had a copy, the only one in the world it seems. The Gogglebox is strictly limited edition of 2000……..Unless we sell more….
merci CB
Dear Chris,
thanks for your honest answer.
Dear Bjorn,
it’s certainly a DVD-R of the VHS… as I already have…..
Cheers
