Gambaccini Show 1983

Just finished watching the documentary that was made for US TV back in 1983 on YT. To me this really was the bands emperial period, I saw you live that year, and to this day that was the best all round tour the band have ever done; sound, set list, quality of musicianship and the vibe of being at the top of your game it all crystallised that year. The funnything is when I watched you perform The sun and the rain on TOTP later that same year I said to my brother the boys will never be this good again, and I was wright. Is there an unofficial video of that gig at the Brighton centre floating around anywhere? It really is fantastic, you really should bring old Mrs Hutchinson back to life in December drum solo middle 8 as well. Thanks for everything Alex

Dear Alex
I thought that documentary was for British TV, it was pretty good – white chairs in a black studio was it? The gig well no one filmed live stuff then. These days it’s all over Youtube but you never know. Thanks for the memories.
