Dear Chris,
really looking forward to Hull next week, especially after the stormer at York Racecourse!
However, on the tickets which have just arrived, it says “14+ only”.
Trouble is, for the last few Madness gigs we’ve been to, I’ve brought my 8 yr old son along, and so I’ve got him a ticket for this one too.
He’s really looking forward to it. Do you think they’ll let him in?
There’s always loads of kids watching Madness nowadays.
Best regards,
Graham
Dear Graham
That sounds strange. Let me know, I will get someone to contact you.

Ha ha it does indeed appear to be that way….and notice there are two of us Graham’s in the band now too….we’re slowly taking over the world!! 🙂
Glad it all got sorted for you though Graham and hope the kids enjoy it – can remember taking my then 9 year old son to the NEC, for his first ever gig, one year and he was bowled over!!
Cheers
Graham
Looks like Graham’r’us here!
(It is our destiny to be fans of Madness…..!)
It’s a relief though, that this 14+ rule has been relaxed, although I’m glad I didn’t go for the standing tickets, like I was going to do to start with.
I didn’t want another disappointment, like we had with the ill-fated Scarborough gig.
Hi I also am taking a 7 & 8yr old to Hull Arena and We had this query so i did ring up about it and spoke to the manager of the venue and they have changed it to under 14yrs are allowed in the seats with parents & not allowed standing and i did ask if the manager would be on there on the night if we did get stopped and she said she will be so i was i was in the same bought as you wondering if they will let mi kids in so i would’nt worry about it, I did bring this up on the Madness central Just can’t wait for the gig now 🙂

This one actually came up in a thread at Madness Central (http://www.madness-central.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=4194) – turns out the venue changed their policy so that the no under 14’s rule now only applies to the standing area – so under 14’s should be ok in the seating areas. Might be worth a phone call to the venue just to check for sure though.
A.N.Other Graham 🙂
Update:
‘Madness News Team’ have been in touch, and confirmed that the 14+ rule only applies to the standing area, but we are ok in the seats.
Thanks to CB and Jamie for your help!
Can you make sure it doesn’t snow on that day too please?
Dear Chris,
thanks for your reply to my “14+” question.
I’m not sure what to do really. I bought 3 tickets – (for the wife, my oldest son (8), and me) but if we get there, and they won’t let my son in, then we’ll all have to go home.
But he’s really looking forward to it (it will be his 6th time seeing you) so I don’t really want to leave him behind just incase they might not let us in.
But it does say on the ticket:
“No Cameras, Search Req, AGE 14+ ONLY”
I’ll ring the venue (Hull Arena) and let you know what they say.
Regards,
Graham W
