Cardiff

Chris, went to my umpteenth Madness gig last night, being from Bristol means we have to travel to what is our local venue because you dont/wont come to our parts. I thought the audience at Cardiff were somewhat flat, did’nt want to get going very much, and I think it reflected in the bands performance somewhat. From where I was at the front it was’nt the usuall Madness……..Anyway I thought it was a superb show. Dan

Hmmm the audience looked great from where I was. Sour grapes Dan?
thanks CB

Hey Guys just think your luck you live in the Uk/Scotland so you can see them when ever and were ever they play. I’ve been a fan since 79′ and live in Australia I’ve seen them 9 times 3 times last year when they came here (that was in 2 weeks). 3 time when I traveled to the UK for shows in 2003 and 2004 and then 3 times back in the 80’s when they toured Australia.. So I think in traveling I bet you all..:))

    Next stop Weston-Super-Mare????? Xxx

What I am trying to say, I have traveled all over the country to see Madness, yes I was at the Oasis in Swindon last year, but Madness never seem to get to the West country as such, I know they have played Glastonbury, but the christmas tours never in this neck of the woods. The crowd at Cardiff in my modest opinion did not ” get going ” as such, other gigs including Swindon last year in comparison were/are absolutely mad. No sour grapes, just confusion.

    Hey Dan,
Have you already forgotten Swindon (Wiltshire)last year,it was blinking Awsome first time id heard Tarzans nuts live (ever). this year was no exception two new songs and The prince towards the end, Cardiff “ska bop a loo bopped” as one of my fave’s, i stood at the back and saw the whole show (google stage was ace).Matt.(from zummerzet).

Yeah we travelled from Bristol as well. I think the audience were taking in the new songs as well as a few of the older ones but still loved them. We moved back towards the end of the gig as we didnt fancy being covered in the “liquid” being thrown in the air!

Brilliant gig thou and the new songs are ace. When Bristol FINALLY gets an arena (who knows when) please play here!

yeah I was at cardiff amy usual front spot near my fav band members and was great for me as always!! its a shame but madness cant play in every city in england, scotland and wales on the xmas tour,i travelled alot further to cardiff than bristol!lol
