regarding our earlier Butlins posts, Madness are propably one of the very few bands around that could make an event like that special.
But for me, I’de rather see you at places like Glasto, 02, Madstock and so on, I personally think that the name Butlins will always have that kind of cheap holiday resort stigma, even though it’s come a long away in the last few years, but I guess only has-beens (won’t mention names) and wannabies get booked to play there. U guys are still in your late prime, and are writing and playing as good as ever, so that’s why us fans think that the names madness and butlins dont mix.
Anyway, hope the new album is going well, can’t wait to hear it but suppose u can’t rush perfection.

ps; can’t stop listening to So Close at the moment, one of the best Madness tunes ever, really has grown on me, heard it live when we came to victoria park in 09, awesome!!
