Bedders

C’mon Chris. Less of the runaround. What’s the story with Bedders?

Has he left the band permanently or is he just dodging the tour duties due to other commitments?

Miss his cheery face and fault free performances at the gigs. A top bloke like yourself and Thommo.

There is no runaround my dear pal Bedders has not played with the band since September last year. He is taking a break for same sort of reasons I had but without publicity. In the past he has missed a Madstock a major UK tour also a tour of Australia. It’s a free country, if he doesn’t want to do the shows then so be it. I left for two years he’s only had nearly a year. Bushers [Bedders stand in] is more or less fault free now by the way but he pulls faces at me, so I have to watch my back all the goddam time.

Yeh – would just like to add to the comments already posted. Whilst Bushers is a very competent bassist it ain’t the same without Mark on the bass for me, just as it wasn’t quite right when Mike and Chris took their sabbaticals. He was the very first member of the band that I met many, many years ago – 1980 to be precise – and he was very kind to me and my mates when he had no reason to be so I’ve fond memories of him. Come back soon mate and all the best!!!

I’M WITH YOU ON THIS CHRISSY BOY IF BEDDERS WANTS A BREAK THATS FINE.HE IS MISSED BY THE FANS THOUGH LIKE YOURSELF WHEN YOU & MIKE HAD A BREAK AWAY FROM MADNESS BOTH OF YOU WERE MISSED TOO.WHEN BEDDERS DECIDES TO COME BACK INTO THE MADNESS FAMILY HE WILL BE WELCOMED WITH OPEN ARMS FROM HIS BAND MATES & THE ARMY OF MADNESS FANS ALIKE WHO MISS HIM…

bushers is brill and i have not noticed any faults in any of the gigs i have seen him at,not even the great mark is perfect! He is not with the band at the moment and who knows if he will bother to come back so we should all welcome bushers into the madness family!
