Evening CJ – coming along to the Newcastle gig on the 28th and would love to get my framed collection of singles signed by you and the boys. I asked last year and you recommended that I come and hang around the venue. I did and in the melee when you arrived my framed records – all original pressings and my pride and joy as I pretty much recall the times and places when I bought every one – got damaged so I’m loathe to go through this again. Is there any way I can sneak into the venue and meet the band and get my stuff signed. I realise that you probably receive loads of requests like this but, honestly Chris, I’m a 42 year old who has been a fan since buying an original 2 Tone copy of ‘The Prince’ in August ’79. I have every single from the first to the last and have them framed, including the pic d! iscs. Rest assured that I am a genuine fan and not a ligger. Anyway, kind regards and if you could arrange anything I’ll be most grateful and the Broon Ale is on me!!
