Sorry, I didn’t mean to be vague in my question…In the lyrics to Victoria Gardens, there’s the line, “he said something I couldn’t mention here, and we laughed with him again.” I’ve read that it refers to Mr. Barson, but what did he say? I’ve wondered about that for many years!

I’ve been a US Maddie since seeing “House of Fun” on MTV in 1982, and I want to thank you for all of the warmth and joy your music has brought me over the years–and now I’m sharing it with my own kids. In the 80’s it was tough to keep up with you guys over here, but this interweb thingy has made it easier! Thanks for caring enough to read and answer all these silly questions!
