There’s a demo of ‘Please Don’t Go’ on YouTube, and I was wondering about the green telephone in the lyrics.

The demo lyrics are different from the lyrics of the actual song, and go ‘You said you’d leave mid-September as I recall, I just don’t remember…you showed yourself the door and left me alone with…(can’t figure that one out)…and a green telephone.’

Is this really how it went? I’m not great at distinguishing lyrics very well so I believe there’s a green telephone mentioned. If there really is one in the song I applaud the randomness, it makes me laugh. It’s a very good song.
