I have absolutely no experience in managing or promoting bands, but have noticed that the standard of band playing at the Patchway British Legion Club, Bristol, is very low.
I have therefore decided to book Madness, it will really wake ’em up. Also, it’s my local and it would be lovely to see a proper band there, meaning I can have a few shandys and walk home instead of getting a hotel for the night, as I usually do when I see you guys.
I’m sure you’ve already got management / promotors working for you, but maybe you’d let me have a go.

I’m Lewis’ mate. While written in fun, there’s a degree of truth in it, reason being our Legion is in real financial trouble, so, as a thought, Lew thought to ask you?? I’m a local labour councillor trying to help save the club by booking bands and modernise and so on, which is where Lew got the idea, what do you think about any any any small possibility of coming here for a legion charity gig tied in with help for heroes, as a warm up for your Minehead gig, which is just down the road from here, and we are going too, could be a winner for all?
