Whoah

Many bands try to remain vital 30+ years down the line, but most fail. In my experience, Tom Waits, Nick Cave, Elvis Costello and Paul Weller are among the few who have found a way to break new ground with each record. That said, I think The Liberty of Norton Folgate is the strongest collection of songs you’ve ever released, and Forever Young in particular is just a massive jolt of bittersweet bliss. More importantly, it’s true to Madness without rehashing any old ideas. I don’t have a question, I guess. Just saying thanks. 🙂

I can’t wait for the new album to come out, and thanks for replying to my comment. You know, I showed your music to my 3 and a half year old daughter, and she LOVES it. I started with Our House, then showed her your early hits… she latched on to House of Fun in particular, but she likes most of what she’s heard. It’s the horn section that really gets her (she’s quite partial to horn rock, like Blood, Sweat & Tears and early Chicago, and great horn jazz like Davis, Coltrane and Brubeck’s Quartet). Her love of your band says a lot about the quality of the horns. Keep up the good work!
